  • Users access company data from their configurable portal home page.
  • Sites are areas that organize and manage all data for a particular project. This user has access to a number of project sites.
  • Each project site has a home page. Each site has areas dedicated for document storage, discussions, calendar, and checklist.
  • Elements of a project home page are configuable. Shown are the most frequent images for this project's home page.
  • The Document Library allows the storage of folders and files that are specific to the project.
  • Documents are displayed alongside a thumbnail of the document or drawing content. DWG, DXF and DWF formats are supported.
  • Detailed information is stored with each drawing/document. Flash preview of the drawing and a summary of its metadata.
  • Forms exist for editing document and drawing metadata. This form allows editing metadata specific to an Engineering drawing.
  • Using a wizard to guide you, adhoc, review and other types of workflows can be started using documents as references.
  • Business rules can be placed on folders that will be executed based on a filter and actions for documents in that folder.
  • Engineers can access drawings in the repository directly from AutoCAD using the EDM Connector plugin.
  • Engineers can browse documents from AutoCAD and open them directly into AutoCAD.
  • Metadata stored in the repository can be browsed and edited from within AutoCAD.
  • Checkin and version control can be done from within AutoCAD. Server changes are synchronized with the local copy.
